The oldest health resort in Kazakhstan — founded in 1936 as a holiday home and converted into a sanatorium in 1959. This balneological mud sanatorium specialises in musculoskeletal, peripheral and central nervous system, skin and gynaecological conditions, using therapeutic mud from Lake Karabotan and mineral brine from well No. 12. The complex comprises sanatorium and hotel blocks on a guarded site of about 3 hectares with a park and a fountain, and is open year-round, seven days a week.
