Sosnovy Bor is a climate and balneological sanatorium in Altynsarin District, Kostanay Region, about 45 km from Kostanay and 4 km from the village of Shcherbakovo, on the shore of a mineral lake surrounded by the pine forest of the Arakaragai forestry. Treatment uses natural mineral water from local springs and sulphate silt therapeutic mud. Guests stay in five buildings and a cottage village.
