Burabay is a resort area in Akmola Region, inside Burabay National Park: pine forests, granite rocks and more than a dozen lakes, the best known being Burabay (Borovoe) and Shchuchye. People come here for climate therapy in the pine forest — sanatoriums treat respiratory, cardiovascular and nervous system conditions — and in summer simply to relax by the water.
