The Heart Center of the University Medical Center Corporate Fund is one of the region's leading cardiac surgery clinics, performing more than 2,000 open-heart operations a year, including implantation of left ventricular assist devices (LVAD). Since 2012 the centre has performed heart and lung transplants for adult patients. The clinic occupies four floors of the UMC complex at 38 Turan Avenue and combines cardiology, cardiac surgery, interventional cardiology and arrhythmology.
